In 1988, Chadwick and his fellow classmates made it to the Oxford Summer Program of the British American Drama Academy at Balliol, there he appreciated works of William Shakespeare, Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter. Aside going to Balliol, he also made it to Ghana with his Professor Mike Malone to work.

Chadwick began his theatre career after graduating from Howard University. For his early works such a Azure, he was nominated for a Jeff Award while also winning a Drama League Directing Fellowship and an AUDELCO for acting.

His breakthrough roles came from 2016 to 2019 when he played the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He later appeared in four more movies going on to win Screen Actors Guild Award and earning a NAACP.

Some of his other movies are; The Kill Hole, Draft Day, The Express: The Ernie Davis Story, Gods of Egypt, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and da 5 Bloods. Also, he featured and executive produced the films Message From The King, Marshall, and 21 Bridges.

Chadwick Boseman was married to Taylor Simone Ledward from 2019 till his death in 2020. The couple had long been in a relationship since 2015. Chadwick died on August 28, 2020 at his residence in Los Angeles after he had battled with a colon cancer since 2016.
